7/23/2023 0 Comments Apple logic pro x reddit download![]() As for DAWs I have and work with Logic, Cubase, FL Studio - I always come back to Logic. Maybe just start with a used/refurb Mac mini, get over the hump of learning MacOS and see if you like Logic. I do my own videos etc so I need a lot but 16GB on an M1 based Mac will shine, more is never the wrong answer though :) but it eats cash. I don't know what music you create to know how much Ram you need. As I learnt more about creating music I went from MacBook to MacBook and finally an iMac as a powerhouse, the current Intel gen of the 27" iMac lets you still upgrade the Ram with aftermarket so I have 128GB for $600 instead of paying Apple but your Mac mini idea is a great one, it is a little powerhouse and must cheaper to get started (although the iMac 5K display with Logic is amazing for all day work). ![]() I have working Mac from 2008/2009, it is just insane. Yes the hardware is more expensive but it also lasts far longer so I've always said it is cheaper in the long run. If you get a Mac get it because it's a Mac, it is an amazing ecosystem. it absolutely does but over time you're going to buy 3rd party plugins and instruments to elevate your mix anyway whether you're Mac or PC or some other DAW. TL DR: Mixing beginner currently using reaper wondering if it's worth it to buy an apple just for logic pro x.Ĭouple random thoughts here :) Don't get a Mac and Logic just because it comes bundled with great plugins. I know this is a lot to answer but I'd greatly appreciate if anyone has some insight. I'm thinking 16gb ram but I've seen people say you need 32 to avoid a "wall?" Also unsure as to what specs I would need. Also unsure if I want to go new or refurbished since I'm only really wanting logic. I've thought about going the Mac mini route and hooking it up to one of my monitors but I'm not sure if I should do that or go a laptop route or sell my PC all together and go iMac. On the flip side of this, I've never owned an apple product and it's always seemed as though a lot of apples hardware parts are overpriced ($600 for 32 gb.) Not trying to knock apple here because from what I've seen they make amazing software. From what I've heard logic is also one of the most user/beginner friendly DAWs out there. ![]() Some of my favorite artists and YouTubers record and mix with logic. Now I'm not sure what route I want to take. This led me to research the DAW with the best stock plugins and everyone points to logic pro x. I feel as though it would be an endless rabbit hole for me because I'd always be looking for the next best thing to elevate my mixes. These third party plugins I've looked at can range between $50-$200. I'm now at a point however that I feel like I need better plugins in order to progress. Been a PC user all my life and I've been trying to learn how to mix/produce using reaper.
